ABOUT THE CLARENCE DEMOCRATIC COMMITTEE

 PROGRESSIVE  LEADERSHIP FOR OUR COMMUNITY

WE BELIEVE IN AMERICAN DEMOCRACY

FACILITATED BY REASONED CONVERSATION OF THE ISSUES WE FACE

AND IN FACT-BASED, MEANINGFUL SOLUTIONS

WHO WE ARE…

The Clarence Democratic Committee (CDC) is made up of both elected members and committee-approved members who represent the Town of Clarence. Each of the town’s 22 Election Districts is allotted two elected town representatives who are also voting members of the Erie County Democratic Committee. These members are registered Democrats elected by their constituents every two years via the petitioning process. Clarence residents can also become a member of the committee without going through the petitioning process. If you would like to join a subcommittee and contribute to fact-based proposals for our town, you only need to request acceptance by the Committee.

Contact us here for more information.

WHAT WE DO...

The CDC's primary responsibility is to find and endorse well-qualified candidates for local public offices. We also assist endorsed candidates to get elected at the local, county, state, and national level.

The Committee informs the community about public issues and promotes political fund-raising and social activities for the Clarence Democratic Party.

WHEN WE MEET...

The Committee meets on the first Wednesday of every month at 7:30 pm. Meetings are held at the Clarence American Legion Hall at 5330 Goodrich Road or via Zoom.

Subcommittees and Working Groups meet as necessary and on their own schedule.

Minutes of the meetings are found here.
